Jakob Nielsen
Jakob Nielsen s-a nascut in 1957 la Copenhaga, Danemarca este un expert in domeniul de ergonomie, de accesibilitate si de utilizabilitate a site-urilor web. In prezent are 50 de ani si este directorul Nielsen Norman Group. Este titularul unui Ph.D. in stiinte informatice de la Universitatea Technica din Danemarca. A lucrat pentru Bellcore (Bell Communications Research) si IBM, inainte de a-si fonda propria societate. In iunie 2000, a fost numit la Scandinavian Interactive Media Hall of Fame. Jakob Nielsen detine 74 brevete in Statele Unite, in general pentru mijloace de facilitare a utilizarii Internetului. Nielsen a fost numit de diferite media in felul urmator:
"the guru of Web page usability" (The New York Times)
"the next best thing to a true time machine" (USA Today)
the reigning guru of Web usability" (FORTUNE)
"eminent Web usability guru" (CNN)
one of the world's foremost experts in Web usability" si altele.
